First Liebherr LTM11200 goes to work
The first of the 1,200 tonne LTM11200-9.1 telescopic cranes to be delivered has arrived with Mammoet and went straight to work on Rotterdam’s old post office (PTT) tower.

The new crane arrives and installs its boom - note the four boom jacks which unload it from its carrier and allows the crane to drive in under
The crane has been ordered with the 100 metre boom-off configuration, the boom is transported on a regular truck and four long hydraulic cylinders are swung into place and jack the boom clear of the trailer in a similar way to a self erecting crawler crane.

The LTM11200-9.1 raises its boom
The first lift was to extend a radio mast on the tower whch is being converted into more general use and accommodation purposes.

The Liebherr LTM11200-9.1 makes its first lift
The crane was rigged with 55 metres of main boom with Y-Guy superlift attachement and 90 metres of luffing jib to lift almost 10 tonnes to 146 metres height.
67 tonne lower sections of the tower were lifted up to 112 metres with a shorter 54 metre jib. The crane was equipped with 202 tonnes of counterweigh for both lifts.
