Defeo and Bamford recognised
The American based Association of Equipment Manufacturers (AEM) has added Ron Defeo of Terex and Sir Anthony Bamford of JCB to its AEM ‘Hall of fame’, which “recognises, celebrates and preserves the history of outstanding leaders in the off-road equipment industry.”
In total five new names were added, the others being: Jerome Increase Case, founder of the J.I. Case Machinery Company, Donald Fites, chairman and former chief executive of Caterpillar and LeRoy Hagenbuch, co-founder and president of Philippi-Hagenbuch.
Dennis Slater, AEM president said: “We are pleased to continue the tradition of recognising individuals whose vision and leadership have contributed greatly to the growth and strength of our industry and of our quality of life. Our inductees this year represent some of the most influential minds in the history of construction and equipment manufacturing.”
