Bauma murder/violent attack
Following repeated and increasingly wild rumours at Bauma this week and numerous requests we are clarifying the reports of a violent attack at Bauma this week.
The facts as we know them are that on Monday the 19th April during the Bauma fair a man - a chef working for a caterer at the show- attacked and stabbed his female manager on external area of the Spierings stand in the outside area near the South entrance.

Part of the show was cordoned off as Police and ambulance came to the rescue
The two were not working on the Spierings stand, but appeared to have come from an adjoinig crane stand. Police cordoned off the area while the ambulance worked on the wounded person. The whole affair was witnessed by a large number of people and the man apprehended, so the investigation was relatively swift.
The last reports in the local press says that the woman was in critical condition but had stabilised. We have not followed the story any further.
We hope that this clarifies the situation and that this will stop the escalation of the stories surrounding this unfortunate event.
