Who needs a harness?

Spotted by a reader in Mid December two men working from a rustic telehandler platform without harnesses or lanyards. The application is very similar to one that proved fatal for Stephen Greenaway, 50, in June 2013, which came to trial this month. See Fatal fall from height

Two men in telehandler platform and not a harness in sight

The chances of something going wrong while working from a telehandler platform with no stabilisers set are much higher than for boom lift, in that a distant third party is operating the machine's travel function which can result in a number of issues that can easily cause a catapult effect.

In the words of our correspondent: “I am working on a site today and spotted these two maniacs thought it may be good for your death wish list”
We agree – have a happy and safe weekend

Barecat
and the platform they use certainly is not CE approved and from what I see does not meet the standards. No toerail, entrance ? No handrailing etc. Seems to be a ``self invented`` version
