Crane overturns in Queensland
A fatal mobile crane accident occurred on Tuesday at a Meat packing plant in Warwick, Queensland, Australia.
The operator, in his mid-40s, was carrying out a routine job lifting concrete blocks into position on a retaining wall when the crane overturned. He was trapped under the crane, believed to be an articulated mobile pick & carry crane, for almost two hours until another crane arrived to lift it off.
The company John Dee said that it was co-operating fully with the Queensland Workplace Health and Safety and police investigators.
