Collision accident in Brisbane
A man was seriously injured this morning after he was catapulted out of an aerial work platform in Brisbane, Australia after it was hit by a passing car.
The man was apparently using the boom lift to work on an electric sign outside the Alhambra Lounge nightclub and was around five metres from the ground when a car ran into the lift causing him to fall.
Details are very limited at the moment, and we cannot even categorically confirm that it was a boom lift. It seems likely though that it was and that he was not wearing a harness and lanyard – attached to an anchor point.
The Police forensic crash unit is investigating
