New contracts for Harsco Infrastructure
Harsco infrastructure has won a five year extension to its scaffold and powered access supply contract for maintenance work at Tata Steel’s Jamshedpur plant.
It has also won new contracts for work with Tata Power and Tata Mines. In total the new contracts are worth around $8 million over the period.
Harsco says that the increased business from the Tata Group underscores the company’s strategic goals for market expansion within India’s industrial sector.
Harsco currently provides round-the-clock scaffolding and powered access services in support of the Tata facility’s plant maintenance and shutdown requirements, a role that the Company began in 2008. In its new roles for
Tata Power and Tata Mines, Harsco will undertake similar on-site scaffolding services in support of facility maintenance.
Tata Steel recently awarded Harsco with a Best Vendor performance award for 2010, recognising the company for outstanding safety performance and having achieved the highest quality of scaffolding standards.
Harsco infrastructure incorporates SGB, Patent Scaffold and Hünnebeck.
