Deep South Crane & Rigging of Baton Rouge, Louisiana has taken delivery of a 1,600 tonne CC 8800-1 and a 400 tonne Terex CC 2400-1 Crawler Crane.
The company’s new flagship CC 8800-1 has a maximum load moment of 24,002 tonne/metres and a superlift radius of between 19 and 30 metres. With its fixed jib boom configuration, the crane has a maximum system height of 216 metres. Its design also allows for components to be quickly disassembled into weights of less than 45 tonnes for easier, faster and cheaper transport. The CC 2400-1 has a maximum load moment of 5,168 tonne/metres.
Jeremy Landry, project manager for Deep South, said: “Now owning 10 crawler cranes over 600 tonnes, Deep South believes the CC 8800-1 will be a valuable addition to its growing fleet of high-capacity crawler cranes. The CC 8800’s time-proven design and ease of transportation, together with Deep South's experienced team, will improve our ability to provide our customers with efficient lifting solutions."
