50 JCBs for Fairfax
UK rental company Fairfax Plant Hire has taken delivery of 30 JCB telehandlers, its single largest telehandler purchase to date. The order includes 10 units of the 9.5 metre 535-95s, eight 12.5 metre 535-125 Hi-Vizs, eight 14 metre 535-140 Hi-Vizs and four 17 metre 540-170s.
Fairfax Plant director Matthew Love, said: “This is the first part of a major telescopic handler order which will refresh and further grow our fleet and enable us to offer our existing and prospective customers the best selection of new telehandlers in the area.”
“We are getting more requests from our customers to go heavier and higher and the new JCB540-170 will lift up to 4,000kg and can reach nearly 17 metres. It will be a great addition to our existing fleet.”

Yorkshire based Fairfax offers a range of construction equipment from its facility in Hemingbrough, including aerial work platforms, telehandlers, forklifts, scaffold towers and a large selection of general equiment. It also has a tool sales and hire division which operates from Selby. The company said that it intends to increase its powered access fleet this year and that it will shortly announce a major distribution deal with a European manufacturer.
