The crane came of the slightly elevated road when the edge began to give way
The crane a Faun, which looks as though it previously belonged to crane company Volker Lippmann, was travelling close to the edge of the narrow road, when the edge of the slightly elevated road began to give way, causing the driver to lose control and ultimately roll over on to its side. The crane bears no markings to indicate the current owner.

Firefighters from Bärenstein arrived to help extract the driver, and then assist with the recovery operation. The recovery did not start well, as the crane was raised the wire rope slings snapped dropping it back on the ground. We understand that a second attempt fared better. Thankfully no one was injured in the incident.
