SWC adds two Tadanos

UK steel erector Steel Work Construction (SWC) has taken delivery of two new 70 tonne Tadano ATF 70G-4 All Terrain cranes.

The new four axle crane is equipped with a 52.1 metre main boom, plus a 16 metre bi-fold swingaway extension, providing a hook height of over 70 metres and maximum radius of 44 metres. Both cranes are equipped with Tadano outrigger length detectors and asymmetric outrigger set up system, giving the ability to setup safely where space may be more limited. The two new machines add to a Tadano fleet that includes two 90 tonne ATF 90G-4 and two 60 tonne ATF 60-3.

Managing director Ben Lee said: "We are pleased to add these new Tadanos into the fleet. The reliability and service we have experienced with the existing Tadanos in our fleet made this and easy decision to make. With the 52.1 metre boom and two engines it is ideal for our work and along with two further new Tadanos due next year, we are continuing to update our machinery in order to provide the best possible service to our clients."

SWC is based in Preston, Lancashire and provides structural steel erecting services and site modifications, working on a range of projects including commercial developments, industrial units, schools and airports.
