New flagship for Jaromin
German crane rental company Autokran-Dienst Jaromin has taken delivery of a 250 tonne Liebherr LTM 1250-5.1 All Terrain crane.
The five axle single engine crane has a 60 metre main boom and a swingaway lattice insert combination that extends up to 50 metres all of which can be offset by up to 45 degrees. With a maximum working radius of 96 metres, it can lift its full capacity at a three metre radius or take 2.5 tonnes to 108 metres with the 50 metre jib. The crane also features Liebherr’s Variobase outrigger set up, and the new VarioBallast system which allows a quick easy shift between a 5.58 metres ballast radius and a more compact 4.78 metres.
The new crane is now the largest crane in the Jaromin's fleet, overtaking a 200 tonne Liebherr LTM 1200-5.1 in the Oberhausen based fleet.

Managing partner Olaf Jaromin said: "Since customers want higher and higher lifting capacities, we decided to add to our fleet. On the one hand, the Liebherr LTM 1250-5.1 provides the capacity we need, whilst on the other it is a five axle crane and therefore still very compact."

Technical customer service executive Markus Rühr added: "A six axle crane would also have involved having to obtain more complicated road permits. The long lattice jib on the LTM 1250-5.1, which can be lowered to 45 degrees, enables us to get around difficult edges and the lifting capacities are still excellent even at a long radius."
