Sennebogen for Water authority
German federal agency Eberswalde Water and Shipping Authority has taken delivery of a 30 tonne Sennebogen 630 HD crawler crane.
The duty cycle lattice boom crane has a 35.5 metre boom, this can be extended to a maximum tip height of 44 metres with a combination of 30 metres of boom and an 18 metre jib. The crane is equipped with an 18kN grab and regular twin hoists and a grab stability winch to help with for dredging and other water related work. In order to meet the high environmental requirements of working on the river, the machine's hydraulic system is filled with biodegradable oil.
Positioned on a multi-purpose barge, the machine will be used for lifting work along the Oder river in the East of Germany. The elevating cab which rises to 2.7 metres will also help with visibility.
The Eberswalde Water and Shipping Authority is responsible for the upkeep of the approximately 660 km of federal waterways on the Oder river and the surrounding waterways. Over 80 locks, ship hoists and embankments, and more than 270 bridges require regular maintenance and inspection.
