22 Terex's for Indian port
Indian port terminal Bharat Mumbai Container Terminals has ordered 22 Terex gantry cranes.
The order from the subsidiary of PSA International includes 18 rubber-tyred gantry cranes, with the option to add a further 18 units. The 40 tonne cranes provide a lifting height of 18.1 metres and have a one over five configuration, with a hoisting speed of up to 46 metres a minute. With a span of 23.7 metres, the cranes can stack up to six containers wide plus a truck lane.
The order also includes four 65 tonne rail-mounted gantry cranes with a 37.6 metre span and covering six rail tracks. They can stack standard containers one over three with a lifting height of 12.5 metres and a hoisting speed of up to 40 metres a minute. The double-sided cantilevers also cover two truck lanes on either side of the cranes’ rails.

A Terex rubber-tyred gantry crane
The wheeled cranes will be handed over in three batches of six units each between September and November 2017, whilst the rail mounted cranes will be delivered in September 2017.
