Second Liebherr LTC for NMT

UK based NMT Crane Hire has taken delivery a new 50 tonne Liebherr LTC 1050-3.1 LTC city type All Terrain crane its second LTC, which joins its predecessor, the 45 tonne LTC 1045-3.1, which it has been running since 2015.

The new crane has been ordered with a full specification including extensions, VarioBase outrigger set up and elevating cab. The basic specification includes a 36 metre main boom, 13 metre bi-fold swingaway extension, allowing it to lift to 48 metres and maximum working radius of 39 metres. An integrated 1.5 metre assembly jib, is ideal for lifting in buildings with restricted headroom. A searcher hook for the assembly jib has also been supplied.

NMT's new Liebherr LTC 1050-3.1

The new crane will be based at NMT’s new depot in Birmingham. NMT director Tim Ambridge said: “The LTC range has been a great addition to our fleet so it was a very easy decision when looking for the right crane for city work in and around the Birmingham area. We believe the LTC 1050-3.1 to be the only crane of its type based in the West Midlands. The crane’s versatility makes the LTC a great choice for NMT. Our relationship with Liebherr is growing nicely and we look forward to taking more quality cranes from them in the future.”
