Colin Naylor
He began his career at Lloyds British Testing in 1986 moving up through the operation to become an associate director. In 2002 the rental business he had helped build up was acquired by Speedy Hire, at which point Naylor and the other employees associated with this part of the business moved across to Speedy, with Naylor becoming operations director. In 2009 he was promoted to managing director for the Midlands & West, and then operations director for UK & Ireland four years later. Finally in 2014 he took on the role of operations transformation director, leaving the following year and joining LGH UK in 2016.
Naylor said: “What the existing LG UK team has delivered in the last 14 years, against the backdrop of a challenging and somewhat mature market, is outstanding. I am thrilled to be joining the business at this stage of its growth. I have been most impressed with the ownership, they are hardworking and committed to growing their business in spite of the challenges we see. Above all they are lifting people and demonstrate a passion and confidence I have not seen in recent years. Refreshingly they are clearly dedicated to serving the UK market and this was the key ingredient in me accepting the opportunity to be part of their story.”

Managing director Marina Turner added: “Colin has a very impressive background in lifting and rental having led the return of LGH to the UK in the last four years. Equally his achievements and experience in a 12 year career with Speedy Hire across prominent directorial roles clearly demonstrates a capacity to operate at the very highest level in a successful business. It’s clear we share the same ethos that this industry is all about great service, wide equipment availability and a can do attitude and, most importantly, equipping our team with the tools to deliver both excellence and efficiency.”
