Tower crane overturn
A small trailer type self-erecting tower crane was pulled over last week in the town of Verrebroek-Beveren, Belgium - on the west side of Antwerp port.
It seems that the builder had unloaded two pallets of roof tiles from a builders merchant’s truck and reloaded a pallet of bricks that he had removed to reach the tiles. He signed the drivers paperwork and forgot that he had not removed the pallet forks from the bricks. The truck drove off pulling the lightweight crane over as it did so.

The crane was still hitched up
The jib came down across a busy road, into the bike lane opposite, but thankfully it did not strike a vehicle. In fact, the only damage was to the crane.

An All Terrain crane from the Vercauteren recovery fleet was brought in to recover the crane with the help of the local fire service and a fire ladder/platform.
