Zip-Up Svenska celebrates 30

Zip-Up Svenska the Swedish based access specialist has celebrated 30 years in business this week. Principle shareholder Lennart Mattson was presented with a 30 year award by Zip-Up manufacturer Instant UpRight at its annual distributor and major account meeting in Killarney, Ireland.

The Zip-Up scaffold range was introduced into Sweden in 1955 by John Aldrin but following financial difficulties at the company, the late Peter Frisk left to establish Zip-Up Svenska in 1978. The company remained with the Zip-Up account after its acquisition by UpRight in the mid 1980’s and competed with its company store Instant Sweden.

In the early 1990’s Zip-Up Svenska acquired Instant Sweden and took on the Instant scaffold products along with the UpRight powered products for which it is still a distributor.

And the awards did not stop there, Zip-Up Svenska also won the Instant-UpRight 2007/8 top distributor award, having vowed to win the award after running up last year.
