Telehandler Tips
The operator, who was only identified as Jose, raised the machines boom with a load of drywall material, on sloping ground, causing the unit to tip over sideways.
He was fortunately unhurt in the accident, but decided not to hang around. Work was being done on a new multi-story residence hall for a college.

The fallen telehandler
Philip McCasland, owner of Reaves Drywall of High Point, the contractor, said:” He was taking excess drywall to be dumped for trash the operator was not injured, but was afraid to stick around and left the site".
The telehandler boom swept a power line overhead, but did not pull down any lines.
McCasland is quoted in local reports as saying that the accident was not a big deal and that in his line of work a telehandler crashing onto its side has happened plenty of times. "I've seen my share over the years," he said.
