Teupen appoints UK sales manager

Teupen, the German spider and truck mounted lift manufacturer, has appointed Craig Rooke as sales manager for the UK and Ireland.

Rooke joined Teupen in December for sales and product training at the company’s headquarters in Gronau, before officially starting his Teupen sales activities.

He began his career in the equipment industry over 14 years ago as an account manager with GT Access, joining JCB in 2006 as a sales engineer with responsibility for telehandlers and then moving to Haulotte in 2008 as Southern region account manager. In 2010 he set up his own sales business ASX.

Teupen chief executive Michael Wotschke said: “Craig's broad range of experience in sales and marketing in the equipment rental industry is well-suited to his new position as the leading figure behind the setup of our direct sales organisation in the UK & Ireland. After having established direct sales representatives in France, Poland and Sweden in 2012, the UK and Ireland were the next markets we were looking to further develop.”

Rooke added: “I am extremely excited to be working for what is considered by most in the tracked platform market the number one manufacturer in the world. Our aim is to build on the growth of these niche products and deliver a premium service for a premium brand and product.”
