Battery powered spider lift for Sydney
The Star hotel and entertainment complex in Sydney, Australia has taken delivery of a 17 metre, lithium-ion battery powered CTE Traccess 170E spider lift from CTE’s Australian distributor Platform Sales.
The new lift offers a 17 metre working height, 7.5 metres outreach, zero tail swing and an unrestricted 200kg platform capacity. The lithium battery offers up to five hours use between charges with an eight hour recharge time. The machines overall dimensions just under two metres in height by 780mm overall width, making it ideal for working in confined areas.
The company said: “The platform has to be driven through hundreds of narrow corridors in the indoor spaces, so a trailing cord power source or internal combustion engine was not an option and thanks to its small dimensions it can pass through our narrow doors.”
