Al Kropp 1945 - 2014

We have received the sad news that Albert Kropp, owner of Chicago area aerial lift rental company Kropp Equipment, unexpectedly passed away in his sleep last Thursday, May 15th, he was 68.

Kropp began the rental business that bears his name, with hydraulic cranes and forklifts in 1975, operating from a single location in Indiana. The company now largely focuses on aerial lifts and telehandlers and operates from four locations in Indiana, Wisconsin and Illinois. His son and business partner Kurt will continue to manage the company.

He is survived by his two sons Kurt and Kevin, daughter Robin, their mother Josephine Emerson, and his partner Lori Cirruto.

The family will receive friends on May 21st/22nd, from 16:00 to 20:00. at Fred Hunter Funeral Home, 718 S. Federal Highway, Ft. Lauderdale, Florida 33316. A Mass will be held on Friday, May 23rd, at 10:00 at St Sebastian Catholic Church, 2000 Marietta Dr., Ft. Lauderdale, FL 33316. Entombment to follow at Boca Raton Mausoleum & Cemetery.
